Justin Timberlake isn’t shedding any tears.
The 43-year-old Grammy winner seemingly poked fun at his recent legal entanglements during his concert in Boston on Saturday, according to a fan video shared on X.
Addressing the audience at TD Garden during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake alluded to his June 18 DWI arrest with a bit of humor.
“So, uh, is there anyone here tonight that is driving and… no, I’m just kidding,” he quipped on stage.
Timberlake had been pulled over in Sag Harbor, New York, on June 18. His mugshot has since circulated widely.
As the crowd burst into laughter, the “SexyBack” singer continued, “Is there anyone here tonight for the first time? Anyone who’s been to 1, 2, 3, maybe 4 of our shows?”
“For all of you here for the first time — on a serious note — I hope you feel the camaraderie and love,” he added.
These comments came nearly two weeks after Timberlake’s arrest in Sag Harbor, where he was charged with one count of DWI and two citations for allegedly running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
According to the arrest report, an officer observed the “Cry Me a River” singer “fail to keep on the right side of the roadway” and proceed through a stop sign.
During the traffic stop, the officer claimed Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests” and reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test multiple times.
Consequently, he was charged with one count of DWI and received two citations for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane.
